INTRO

Coursemodo was a SaaS suite of apps and an API for real time interactive teaching that worked across all mobile devices and deployed to Harvard, Stanford, Florida State, University of Maryland, University of Florida, University of Waterloo before being acquired in 2013.

I worked closely with founders to design the logo, identity, landing pages and main UI/UX for the professor/student application.

Creating a powerful feedback loop

A real-time feedback loop for educators

Coursemodo was designed to help educators actively engage all of their students through polling, quizzing, announcements and also allow students to ask questions through a live question stream. Many pilot schools provided tablets for students but the apps also supported SMS text and smartphone web clients.

The initial pilots were deployed to 15 universities including Harvard, Stanford, Florida State, University of Maryland, University of Florida, University of Waterloo across 15,000 students and saw classroom engagement go up by 35% and grades increase by 4%-7%
