Bold & Authentic
I wanted the project to feel bold while staying authentic to Rivian’s brand. I pulled visual motifs and language from Rivian’s own materials around the future, adventure, and exploration to guide the overall tone.
Rivian’s proprietary typeface, Adventure, isn’t publicly available. After researching its origins, I approximated the feel using Syne from Google Fonts. For display moments, I paired it with BBH Hegarty to introduce contrast while maintaining a bold, clear typographic voice.
Campaign Framing
Although this is a concept, I approached it as a campaign microsite grounded in Rivian’s core themes of exploration, utility, and optimism for the future. The site frames Rivian products within a narrative where features and capabilities surface naturally in service of the campaign message.
Beneath the fictional imagery, the experience reinforces brand values through clear storytelling and restraint. The concept also leaves room for subtle Easter eggs inspired by The Martian for those familiar with the reference.
Cinematic Brand Execution
This concept explores how interaction, motion, and media can be used as brand tools rather than just decorative elements. Framer enabled rapid iteration on high-fidelity interactions that support narrative pacing, reinforce brand tone, and add depth without overwhelming the content.
The landing page includes interactive content cards, video-masked typography, auto-playing video, layered particle effects, and subtle environmental motion : all working together to create a branded, immersive experience.
An Integrated Creative Workflow
I started this project to explore new techniques and tools, but grounded it in a real, end-to-end build. Real projects focus decision-making and problem-solving in ways isolated experiments don’t, and this concept was designed to function as a cohesive system rather than a set of disconnected techniques.
Almost nothing in the project was created using a single tool in isolation. Fantasy Canvas enabled fast movement between AI generation, image cleanup, upscaling, and asset isolation. Figma and Photoshop supported layout, composition, and refinement, with AI-assisted features accelerating masking and visual cleanup. Framer unified everything through layering, video, motion, and interaction to deliver a high-fidelity experience.
